Demand for Congressional Representation That Serves the Will of the People

When it becomes necessary for the citizenry of the United States of America to dissolve the political bonds that connect them with their Congressional representatives, and to demand representation by individuals who do not raise themselves above their constituency, the facts that impel the citizenry to such actions must be declared.

America’s citizens have the constitutional right to demand Congressional representatives adhere to the will of the people. The people consent to be governed, but when Congressional representatives are destructive to these ends, it is the duty of the people to relentlessly identify and attack Congressional tyranny in order to restore political legitimacy.

When Congressional representatives recompense themselves with special rights, social and financial privileges and set themselves above the laws of the land to which the people themselves are subject, they have violated their social contract with the people they serve.

For too long, Americans have suffered under self-serving, hypocritical, despotic Congressional representatives. Sadly, for personal ambition and benefit too many representatives allow themselves to be unduly influenced by special interests. When the consensus of the people for congressional action on issues for the common good are continually ignored, and in many instances allowed to worsen, it is the people’s right and duty to rebel.

The United States Congress is out of control and destroying America. Congress continually shows more allegiance to special interests, foreign interests, illegal aliens, enemy combatants and foreign terrorists groups that have declared their intent to harm America and its citizens than to the citizens themselves. An America financially indebted to foreign nations, dependent upon foreign oil, debasing its currency, losing its national identity and unity and whose government no longer protects its citizens against alien invasion is a frightful destiny.

When Congressional tyranny erodes the people’s consent to be governed, the people have the constitutional right to engage in a second revolution to demand Congress work in accordance with their will.

Congress is radically changing the very fabric of America that made it the world’s beacon for freedom, capitalism and democracy. To prove this, let some of the facts and grievances of the American citizens be enumerated:

  • Congress has put its members above the laws to which the people are subjected.

  • Congressional House and Senate salaries as of 2009 are $174,000 and include an automatic annual cost of living adjustment.

  • Congressional Members elected in 1984 and thereafter typically receive in lifetime benefits 5 times what they contributed leaving 80% to be covered by the taxpayers.

  • Congress and federal employees enjoy a separate and unequal Retirement System and government Thrift Savings Plans than most employees in the private sector.

  • Congressional pension benefits are 2-3 times more generous than what a similarly-salaried executive could expect to receive upon retiring from the private sector

  • Congress has failed to resolve the Social Security funding crisis for the rest of America.

  • Congress provides tax payer funding to organizations, such as ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), that are under federal investigation for illegal voter registration activities and fraud that go to the heart of political legitimacy.

  • Congress continues to fund ACORN despite being under investigation in at least 14 states in connection with allegations of voter registration fraud in the 2008 campaign. Under the economic stimulus legislation approved by the House of Representatives ACORN could receive up to $4 billion.

  • The U.S census is the official count of the country's population mandated by the U.S. Constitution and one of the government's largest projects. It is used to determine distribution of taxpayer money through grants and appropriations and the apportionment of the 435 seats in the House of Representatives. Every U.S. household unit, including those occupied by non-citizens and illegal immigrants, must be counted. It is supposed to be free of politics, but the government has engaged ACORN to participate in the 2010 census.

  • Congress has failed to create a fair and comprehensible tax system, failed to rein in an ever expanding and more complicated tax code and leaves the Internal Revenue Service free to harass and ruin lives.

  • Congress’s failure to reform the tax system only encourages lobbyists and special interests to continually seek tax breaks and exemptions at the expense of the American tax payer.

  • Congress has failed to secure America’s borders against alien invasion; particularly our border with Mexico.

  • Congress fails to deport illegal aliens flooding America’s prisons with illegal aliens who should be physically deported back to their homelands by whatever means necessary.

  • Congress doesn’t understand the meaning of "illegal alien" preferring amnesty programs.

  • Congress fails to enact legislation recognizing English as the national language.

  • Congress has failed to recognize that successfully educating our children is not entirely dependent upon ever increasing funding when less costly alternatives have been proven to produce better results.

Only YOU, the voting citizen can save America. As Abraham Lincoln said, "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
