Distressed Patriots particularly endorses the Bill of Federalism’s Article of Amendment 7: [Term Limits for U.S. Senators and Representatives] The Federal Government through Congress has usurped the sovereignty of the states and the people through ongoing and unchecked encroachments of power and authority not authorized to them by the US Constitution. The result is an imperial Congress comprised of professional politicians who are out of control. Congress continually shows more allegiance to special interests, foreign interests, illegal aliens, enemy combatants and foreign terrorists groups that have declared their intent to harm America and its citizens than to the citizens themselves. More than half of the state legislatures have brought forth resolutions in support of states' rights under the 10th amendment to the US Constitution. Distressed Patriots believe the time has come for the states to use their Constitutional right "which has never been used" to pass a Constitutional amendment for Congressional Term Limits. No matter what your party affiliation, if you believe America's political process MUST adhere to the US Constitution, PLEASE join your voice and vote as a Distressed Patriot.
